About The Event
As a small business owner, it is essential to be able to generate a range of new products are or service ideas for your business to ensure your survival.
During this session, you'll:
• Be introduced to a range of creative tools and techniques, so you can begin to think differently about resolving everyday business issues;
• Learn to apply the right creative technique to the right entrepreneurial or management challenge, including customer/user issues.
Meet the Facilitator
Michael Bedward | Lecturer of Innovation, Enterprise & Entrepreneurship.
Since his appointment as a Lecturer in Innovation, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, in January 2018, Michael has taught across the full spectrum of Business School modules, leading on the delivery of modules on Innovation and Enterprise, Entrepreneurial Mind-set: Business Discovery and Development and Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management.
Michael led on the successful Small Business Charter re-accreditation of the Business School.
Prior to his academic career, Michael worked as an Independent Creative Industries Business Consultant; as a Business Support Manager for the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA); as a Development Executive (Digital Media), for East Midlands Media Investment (EMMI) in Nottingham and as a Television and Radio Producer and Project Manager for the BBC in London.
He has been awarded an MBA and he also holds Post-Graduate degrees in Academic Practice in Higher Education, Learning and Teaching, Online Tutoring, Communications Policy and Regulation and Multimedia Management.
Michael is also:
• Course Director for LSBU's BA (Hons) Business Management with Business Practice and Cert HE Associate Project Manager courses;
• Module Leader for the Creativity, Enterprise and Innovation module (core to LSBU's School of Business Post-Graduate framework);
• Small Business Charter, Staff Enterprise and Business Summer School lead for LSBU's School of Business.
