Knowing your Market, Customer, and Competition

In the first part of this session, you’ll be able to define the target market for your business and segment (group) your customers/clients based on their buying behavior, which will enable you to customise your marketing efforts.

In the second part of this session, you’ll be to use a theoretical model to describe the different types of competitors to your business, which will help you to identify your competitive advantage.

Facilitator: Michael Bedward

Michael Bedward, is a Lecturer in Innovation, Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship and Course Director for the Chartered Manager and Associate Project Manager Apprenticeships, London South Bank University, Business School

He is Module Leader for the Creativity, Enterprise and Innovation module which is a core module within the Business School’s post-graduate framework.

Since his appointment as a Lecturer in Innovation, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, in January 2018, Michael has taught across the full spectrum of Business School modules, leading on the delivery of modules on Innovation and Enterprise, Entrepreneurial Mind-set: Business Discovery and Development and Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management.
