Having the support of the programme, tutors and mentor helped this small charity continue its growth
What did you hope to achieve with Dek?
The organisation has consistently had year-on-year growth, quite organically, but also somewhat reactively versus proactively. The organisation felt it would be useful to underpin our work with the support of the DeK workshops and mentoring programme. What part of the programme did you enjoy the most? Working with my Mentor, who understood our issues, respected what we already knew but he empowered us to improve and expand within areas which needed development.
Other than this, the Business Model Canvas really helped us to clarify and focus our work. Would you recommend the Dek Growth programme to other start-up businesses and SMEs? Yes. I found the workshops valuable, empowering and they impacted our day to day work positively.
For us, we have a big vision of what we want to change. Having the support of the programme, tutors and mentor helped this small charity continue its growth and strengthened its infrastructure at a time where we were being challenged by the impact of increasing demands on our services while at the same time needing to strategically plan and develop.
